The Association of Arms Collectors and Target Shooters (AACTS) mourns the passing of one of its founding members, Dr Neville Montanaro Gauci, who left us on the 16th of March 2026 at the age of 87.
Dr Montanaro Gauci was a true pioneer of target shooting in Malta. His passion for the sport, combined with his deep knowledge of firearms and collecting, helped lay the foundations upon which AACTS was built. His dedication, vision, and steady presence were instrumental in shaping the association in its early years and beyond.
Beyond the shooting community, Dr Montanaro Gauci was widely respected as an eminent physician and one of Malta’s leading gynaecologists. He served his profession and patients with distinction, compassion, and integrity throughout his long career.
Above all, he was a devoted family man, a husband, father, and grandfather whose legacy will live on not only in the sport he helped pioneer, but in the many lives he touched both professionally and personally.
AACTS extends its deepest condolences to his children, grandchildren, extended family, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
