It was another great ELR (extreme long range ) competition organised superbly by our very own Rod Formosa, in conjunction with the Poligno di Tiro Casal Monaco at the Trapani range outside the village of Ummari in Sicily.
There were 79 participants this year from 17 countries, shooting up to 10 different steel plates at distances ranging from 580 to 2000 m under strict time conditions, spread over 4 days of competition.
The standards were very high this year and we would like to congratulate Tony Zammit and his spotter Oliver Saliba for winning the overall 2000 m event.
Oliver Saliba also came in at 9th place in his own right with another AACTS member, Robert Aquilina in 11th place.
Once again the competition has been won for the 2nd year in a row by a Maltese based shooter proving our high standards of training and dedication, even though we have no rifle range to shoot on here in Malta.
