Dear members,
The Marksmanship Target Shooting event has come to a close after three fantastic days of shooting at Pembroke Ranges in Malta. This event was organized by the Armed Forces of Malta (AFM) in collaboration with FACTS Malta, and it was an amazing opportunity for people to shoot their rifles in Malta without having to travel abroad.
The event was a great success, and we’d like to take a moment to thank everyone who participated and helped make it happen.
We’re especially grateful to the AFM for their commitment to assisting serious target shooters, as they did 30+ years ago when they facilitated the organization of the first target shooting event at Pembroke Ranges. We’d also like to thank our numerous sponsors.
The competition was fierce, and we’re pleased to announce that FACTS members Christian Stafrace, Godfrey Pisani, and Oliver Saliba placed 1st, 3rd, and 5th respectively, while two AFM servicemen placed 2nd and 4th. We’d like to congratulate all of the finalists on their excellent performance:
Place | Name | Surname |
1st | Christian | Stafrace |
2nd | AFM servicemen | |
3rd | Godfrey | Pisani |
4th | AFM servicemen | |
5th | Oliver | Saliba |
Special thanks also goes to Capt Joseph Tabone, Christian Stafrace, and John Grixti for their impeccable attention to range safety procedures, which ensured a professional result. We would also like to acknowledge the support and assistance provided by Brigadier Clinton O’Neill, (Commander AFM), Colonel Edric Zahra, (Deputy Commander, AFM), Colonel Etienne Scicluna (Colonel Capabilities & Training Branch) and Lt Colonel Chris Vella (CO 1 Regt AFM).
Finally, we’d like to recognize the hard work and dedication of Godfrey Pisani, who proposed and followed up on setting up this event, and FACTS President Charles Wallbank, who devoted much time to the event’s organization and supported the next event. The event was a great success, and we’re already looking forward to the next one.
Overall, it was an incredible experience for everyone involved, and we’re thrilled to have been a part of it. Thanks again to everyone who helped make it happen, and we can’t wait to see you at the next Marksmanship Target Shooting event.
